About
  Kate Bailey

Life, Leadership + Business Mentor. Confidence + Embodiment Coach. Neurodiversity Advocate. Play Big Queen Podcast Host.

I help professionals, leaders, business owners, and entrepreneurs with ADHD, invisible disabilities, mental health challenges, or chronic illness shed self-doubt, reclaim their brilliance, and build a life they love, along with wildly profitable businesses, on their own terms.

You do not need to identify as neurodivergent, chronically ill, or someone navigating mental health challenges to benefit from this method of coaching.

Neurodiverse-affirming coaching methodologies are strength-based and designed to honor difference, respect each person’s unique process and timing, reduce pressure, and support sustainable growth which are all approaches that are often deeply beneficial for anyone seeking clarity, confidence, and aligned leadership in their work or personal life.

Vision Statement

I envision a world where women with invisible disabilities, chronic illness, and mental health challenges are fully supported, valued, included, and thriving... living in the embodied activation of their unique brilliance. In this world, we are secure in our self-worth, happier, healthier, wealthier, and boldly shaping a better future through creative and compassionate leadership.

Mission Statement

I am on a mission to empower 10,000 women to fully step into their Play Big Self by offering healing, transformative, neurodiverse-affirming coaching. Through innovative programs, courses, and masterclasses, I provide the tools, support, sustainability, and community that help each woman embrace her unique path to confidence, success, and meaningful impact.

I believe that when 10,000 women with invisible disabilities and their allies are empowered with inclusive communication and the confidence to express their unique brilliance, the world will shift in profound ways. These women will break through societal limitations, modeling resilience, creativity, and the strength of diversity. Their voices and perspectives, shaped by their unique journeys of challenge and perseverance, will redefine leadership, inspire systemic change, and create spaces where diverse ways of thinking are not only accepted but celebrated.

I see a future where industries and communities are more accessible and inclusive, where workplaces adapt to honor varied ways of working, communicating, and achieving. I imagine healthcare and education systems that center accessibility and compassion, and policies that better support those with invisible challenges... benefiting society as a whole.

By empowering these women, I aim to spark inspiration that reduces stigma, encourages authentic leadership, and lights the way for countless more women to rise. Together, we are creating a culture of true diversity, where every person feels valued, included, and emboldened to contribute their brilliance.

My Story

I know what it’s like to feel underestimated, stuck, or forced into smallness by systems that weren’t built for us.

When I was younger, I tested as gifted, but my invisible learning disabilities went undiagnosed until my late 30s. I spent years having my challenges minimized and invalidated. I changed professions and careers multiple times, searching for work that wouldn’t bore me to death and to connect with my sense of true purpose.

I attended six different colleges and struggled to complete my bachelor’s degree, failing out each time without access to the accommodations I needed. This took a toll on my mental health and self-worth.

As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent female entrepreneur, I’ve navigated the highs and lows of business, self-doubt, burnout, and transformation. Today, I’m back in college, thriving in my business, and committed to helping brilliant, unconventional women step into their full power and build businesses that match their ambition, without sacrificing their well-being.

My Qualifications

The most important qualifier I bring to coaching is the results my clients achieve. At the same time, I value transparency, so I share my background not as proof, but as context for the depth of my work.

Like many neurodivergent individuals, I hold multiple talents and gifts and have walked an extraordinary, nontraditional educational and professional path. Combined with dedication, consistency, and devotion to my craft, this has given me an uncommon abundance of lived, professional, and clinical experience that deeply informs my coaching.

Formally tested as gifted in pattern recognition, interpersonal, and verbal communication, I have extensive experience in crucial and crisis conversations. I’ve honed these natural gifts through my experience instructing at the New York City Fire Department and my studies at the Co-Active Institute for Coaching, alongside continued education in leadership, embodiment, and communication.

I’ve also developed my own methods and curriculum after reading hundreds of books and completing more than 50 courses on coaching, somatics, mindset, emotional regulation, mental health, pleasure, neurodiversity, business, entrepreneurship, leadership, spirituality, and manifestation.

My Approach + Scope

Disclaimer:
I am not a therapist. Coaching can be deeply transformative, but I will refer clients to therapy if their needs extend beyond my scope. I am trauma-trained, well-versed in therapeutic modalities for neurodivergence and disabilities, and have professional experience in multiple branches of healthcare.

Healthcare Background:

âś”
NREMT Certified EMT and EMS Instructor

✔ Certified behavioral health technician
✔ Teacher’s aide for multi-disabled children
✔ Clinical assistant in urgent care
✔ Group facilitator for in-patient addiction recovery services
✔ Hazardous materials EMT
âś” Former instructor for the New York City Fire Department
âś” Former professor for private health colleges in Florida

In my healthcare career, I’ve trained over 20,000 students in mental health, behavioral health, trauma, and medical emergency response, and rendered care to over 50,000 patients.

I bring the ability to discern the nuanced differences between trauma, mindset issues, medical conditions, invisible disabilities, and innate neurodivergent traits  an essential skill in giving accurate, supportive coaching feedback.

Because of this, my clients with diagnoses such as ADHD, Autism, Multiple Sclerosis, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Noonan Syndrome, Lupus, Endometriosis, Fibromyalgia, Mood Disorders, Chronic Pain, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Diabetes, or autoimmune diseases feel safer and more supported in our work together.

My Methodology

I’ve developed a results-based mentoring approach that integrates:

âś” Intuitive guidance
✔ Transformative processes
✔ Somatic and Embodiment practices
âś” Functional strategies
✔Strength-based coaching
âś” Compassionate support
âś” Clinical insight
✔ Neurodiverse and disability-affirming methods

I also bring the lived experience of being AuDHD and multiply neurodivergent. I live in a racially blended, fully neurodivergent family, which means I navigate  both personally and professionally the intersections of race, disability, neurodivergence, and the female experience.

This lived experience, combined with intentional study, has shaped my cultural competence. I also maintain conscious awareness of my own learning edges, holding conscious incompetence in areas where I am still deepening my understanding of different cultures.

More About Me

Since 2017, I am a wife to my Play Big King Tony,  a stepmom to two amazing Super Heroes named Korie and Jy'air, and I am a mom to a lil 35lb dog named Foxy who... you guessed it... looks like a fox. Foxy is not pictured here, but she has been known to make guest appearances on my live calls.

Born on Long Island and raised in and around Brooklyn and NYC, I’m an Italian-Sicilian Mediterranean mix who loves travel, well-designed sustainable luxury fashion, dogs, dance, and deep conversations. I hate polka dots, bucket hats,  and fast fashion micro trends.

I find Human Design applicable to me and use it as a life strategy as well as infuse it into all my branding and offers. I’m an Emotional Manifestor 6/2 and a Pisces III born at 13:33. I am witchy yet very woo-practical.

I have casual daily conversations with my ancestors and feel their presence deeply on my own Play Big Journey. I identify as a true Spiritual Creatrix and often visually stim by designing graphics while working.

About My Company

Kate Bailey LLC offers coaching services, educational courses, products, and experiences that promote success in neurodiversity advocacy, women’s empowerment, embodiment, entrepreneurship, and business.

My Values + Worldview

In my communities, differences are valuable, celebrated, and welcomed. Intersectional identities, including disabilities, neurodivergence, and varied religious beliefs, are honored.

I value radical transparency, nuanced thinking, humanitarian values and pragmatic action toward a better future. My beliefs include:

  • Support for DEIA, 2SLGBTQIA+, Black Lives Matter, reculturization, decolonization, land back, reparations, anti-genocide, and food sovereignty

  • Belief that abortion is an essential healthcare life-saving procedure, guns kill, climate change is real, and animals and our planet need compassion and healing

  • Commitment to sex worker rights, Ukrainian self-determination, Palestinian liberation, immigration rights, and opposition to Islamophobia, antisemitism, and cult-like authoritarian abusive autocratic systems

  • Belief in both/and thinking, healthy vs. sick systems, and the validation of grief for systems beyond repair

My Philosophies

My philosophy centers on bold authenticity, resilience, and empowerment... especially for neurodivergent women and women with invisible disabilities who have been underestimated or taught to play small.

I reject fear-based conditioning, toxic positivity, and neurotypical molds. I advocate for radical self-trust, intuition, body intelligence, honoring personal energy cycles, and defining success on your own terms.

I believe in legacy-building, collaborative success, and creating impact, because when one woman rises, we all rise.

"Play Big" Message Statement:

Playing Big means operating from love and faith over fear, using your authentic voice, showing up courageously in community, and fully owning your brilliance. It’s about overcoming self-doubt, releasing limiting beliefs that keep you small, and breaking free from societal expectations and ableist conditioning. Playing Big is about committing to the long game, so you can create sustainable success on your terms and live a life aligned with your deepest values and unique strengths. It is the journey of showing up fully for yourself and others with purpose and courage.

"Play Big Queen" Message Statement:

Play Big Queen is a 3 word revolution.
It is both a title and a command for all women.
It is a call to action for women ready to embody their fullest power.

Whether you claim the title for yourself or encourage another woman on your journey, the Play Big Queen archetype represents an unwavering commitment to personal power, autonomy, and legacy.

She leads with authority and inclusivity, balancing her strength with a deep commitment to uplifting others. Rooted in confidence, creativity, and self-trust, the Play Big Queen is guided by her intuition, embraces her sensuality, and calibrates her actions to her unique inner compass. She stands as a testament to self-worth and integrity, strategically and compassionately leading a legacy that lifts every woman who rises alongside her.

Play Big Queens know there is no hierarchy among true Play Big Queens. Just like a rising tide lifts all boats, when one woman rises, we all go higher together.

This Queen archetype specifically resonates with many neurodivergent women and women with invisible disabilities because of the ableist, patriarchal expectations and its shadow conditioning that is casted upon us that often leaves us feeling confused, unsure, invisible, questioning our abilities, incompetent, people pleasing or like a joke when people underestimate or exclude our unique brand of brilliance.

To be a Play Big Queen is to release feelings of incompetence and self-doubt, and to shed the shadows of the masked Joker archetype where we hide behind deflection, performance, and humor. It’s stepping fully into the Queen: a practice, a maturation, and a felt experience of true self-actualization.

For those who find the word Queen does not resonate with them, perhaps because of imperial associations, the Play Big Self archetype can take any form that aligns with your unique self, reflecting power, authenticity, and a life led by love instead of fear.

To step into your Play Big Self is to step out of your smallness and boldly onto the play big path, reclaiming the truth of the greatness you are capable of, blazing your own trail, lighting the way for all who come after you.
